Geo-Culture is a company formed by three professional guides with experience of more than 15 years in the field of tourism. All the tours, treks and adventures programmes are prepared personally by the owners from the start till the end. Tourism opened first time in 1974 is still a young industry, going through a big developmental change. With the privatization of the industry in 1991, number of travel agents sprung up. As the new zeal for the business took momentum, many agencies failed to cope up with the challenge. We have silently observed the pros and cons of these short coming while at the same time kept ourselves well immersed in the profession.
Hence recently with the patronization of some old clientele we have come together to form this time-suited undertaking to give Bhutan travellers a unique and comfortable tour.
Geo-Cultural Tours and Treks is proud to present a combination of pleasurable, interesting and exciting trips that will introduce you to the diversity of landscape, wildlife and people that make Bhutan, the unforgettable destination and wonderful place to visit.
The world is you. Think of what you like to do best and we'll take you to just the right place to do it. Lose yourself in the past or revel in the modern; soak up the sun or wonder about in the natural forests; get away from it all or lose yourself in beautiful mountains of Bhutan. Find your true self with Geo-Cultural Tours and Treks!
We are able to operate most of our trips on a per request basis for as few as one people. We do our best to accommodate all language requests. If you are interested in a custom designed tour, trip or adventure for you or your group, please contact for more information.

Accommodation
Tourists are kept in comfortable hotels, lodges, guesthouse and resort standardized by the Tourism Council of Bhutan. In the major towns such as Thimphu, Paro, and Phuentsoling, accommodations are comparable to good hotels in the west, while in smaller towns, modest, but adequate, hotels, lodges and guesthouses are available. We will ensure that the best available accommodations are arranged for you. The Tourism Council of Bhutan, regulates hotel standards and all travel regulations in Bhutan. The costs of the accommodations are included in the tour cost.
Since 2006, Bhutan saw some five star hotels. For those travelers interested to stay in the Five Star Hotels/Resorts, we will book the hotel at your cost. The room rates of the Five Star Hotels can be sent upon your request.
Transport
Geo-Cultural Tours has our own set of cars, vans, buses or four wheel vehicles. We use them depending on the size of the group and place of visit are used to give best comfort to guests. During high season, we have to hire cars, vans, buses and four wheel drives. We make sure that all the hired vehicle are the recent models and new. We will always take the time we need for you to enjoy the scenery, people and food along the way. Travelling from one destination to another destination will always be of different landscape, vegetations with rugged mountains, challenging but breath taking drives.
The cost of transport is already included in the daily tour cost. All our drivers are fully trained in safety and are well experienced in driving in Bhutan.
Guides
All of our trips are guided by English-speaking licensed tourist guides who are intimately familiar with culture and people of the places we visit. Our guides have several years’ experiences in the guiding field. They will be at your services during your entire trip. Throughout your stay in Bhutan a guide, a vehicle and driver will be at your disposal at all times.
Our trekking guides and cooks undergo an additional mountain guide training, including safety and first aid instruction. Royal Government of Bhutan has received assistance from the Austrian Government in the form of trainers and funds to establish the training programs for tourist guides and cooks.
